TEXTURE BLOCKING
J's Designs - Faux Texture Blocking

Contrasting textures and
grains are featured in this
technique.

RECIPE

Step One: Apply two coats of Pratt and Lambert Accolade Velvet finish tinted to #2273 Clove Dust. Let paint dry for several hours.

Step Two: Measure your walls. On a piece of paper, create your grid and choose where the different finishes will go. Use a chalk line to transfer your grid to the walls.

Step Three: Choose one of the finishes and mask off each selection with low tack painting tape. Use a hard plastic utensil to burnish the tape to create a hard seal.

Step Four: Apply Ralph Lauren Suede finish in Union Peak to each masked off section.

Step Five: Repeat steps three and four with Pratt and Lambert Acrylic Latex Varnish Gloss, and Modern Masters Metal Effects Blackened Bronze Metallic Paint. Remember to leave some sections with the base color.

Step Six: Stand back and admire!
