DUCHESSE SATIN STRIPING
J's Designs - Duchesse Satin Striping

Duchesse Satin Striping is a simple way to create elegant, contemporary walls that often look like they have been wallpapered.

RECIPE

Step One: Apply two coats of Pratt and Lambert Accolade Velvet Finish tinted to #2257 Shadow Beige. Let paint dry for several hours.

Step Two: Plan the width, scale, and design of your stripe pattern first. Apply this to your wall by placing small pencil marks at the top, middle, and bottom of your surface (a water-based pencil works the best for this as the marks can be easily wiped after).

Step Three: Take Kleenedge, low tack, painter's tape and mask the areas you do not want to have shine, lining up your pencil marks. Be sure to cover the pencil marks.

Step Four: Using a fluffy whizz roller, roll one coat of Ralph Lauren Duchess Satin tinted to Evening Slipper. Roll the surface leaving a random pattern on the surface.

Step Five: Remove the tape immediately.

Step Six: Carefully wipe the pencil marks from the wall.

Step Seven: Stand Back and Admire!
