FADED DAMASK
J's Designs - Faux Faded Damask

Teaming with richness and
texture, a reminder of an
opulent era from days gone by.

RECIPE

Step One: Paint the surface with two coats of acrylic paint tinted to Pratt and Lambert 2133 Puffball.

Step Two: Apply spray adhesive to the back of the Damask Stencil and position it on the surface.

Step Three: Mix three parts glaze with one part acrylic paint tinted to Pratt and Lambert 2043 Platinum.

Step Four: Using a drybrush technique, fill the openings in the stencil with a stiff brush. The stencil used in this example was Ralph Lauren Damask.

Step Five: Remove stencil, reposition, and repeat.

Step Six: Using a dry rag, rub the surface in a circular motion with the same glaze mixture. If desired, use fine sandpaper to distress lightly.
