AGED PAINT
J's Designs - Faux Aged Paint

Aging creates the impression
of a weathered, lived-in look.

RECIPE

Step One: Apply two coats of Pratt and Lambert Accolade Velvet finish tinted to #2204 Edmund's Beige. Let paint dry for at least four hours.

Step Two: Apply Ralph Lauren, Para, or Polyvine Crackle Medium to about forty percent of the surface, using a roller or brush. Allow to dry.

Step Three: Roll the same base paint over the crackle glaze areas. These will form cracks while they dry. If drooping occurs, gently backroll.

Step Four: Make a glaze of four parts Texturline Texturglaze and one part Accolade Velvet #2205 Bayberry and rub it into the cracks using a soft cloth.

Step Five: Make a glaze of four parts Texturline Texturglaze and one part Accolade Velvet #2203 Moselle and rub over remainder of surface in a circular motion.
